MEET ALANA
Alana has been a dedicated yoga practitioner for over 15 years. In 2020, she deepened her commitment to the practice by completing a 200-hour yoga teacher training. Since then, she has led yoga classes online, at corporate events, and for friends and family around the world in English and Spanish. She received mentorship and worked closely with Urban Asanas, a wellness and yoga space in Brooklyn for three years before traveling across South America and Southeast Asia where she immersed herself in diverse styles and traditions of yoga.
Passionate about holistic wellness, Alana is committed to supporting people in feeling good—physically, mentally, and emotionally. While the physical practice of Asana is a key element, she embraces the full spectrum of yoga as a union of mind, body, and breath. Her yoga classes are rooted in Vinyasa flow where we link breath to movement, but she also leads Hatha, Yin, and Power yoga classes to suit different bodies and energy levels. She has also facilitated mindfulness sessions, guided meditations, and reflective journaling events.
Outside of yoga classes, you can find Alana assisting in the childcare center or behind the espresso bar. A native New Mexican recently returned after a decade away, she enjoys traveling, cooking, and writing. Before her time in corporate spaces, she worked as a childcare provider and nanny, passionate about early childhood development and caregiver support. She is now thrilled to join the Village Motherhood team in creating a nurturing space where mothers, children, and caregivers can thrive.
